General
Where are you located?+
We are at 84D King Street North in Uptown Waterloo, Ontario, right on King Street between Bridgeport and Erb. Look for the entrance at 84D (it is a shared building, so keep an eye out for our signage).
What are your hours?+
Monday: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Tuesday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Saturday: 8:30 AM to Late (depends on events). Sunday: 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Hours may extend on event nights. Check our events page for specific show times.
Is there parking nearby?+
Uptown Waterloo has street parking along King Street and several municipal lots within a short walk. The Waterloo Town Square parking garage is the closest covered option. We are also very accessible by GRT bus and a short walk from both UW and Laurier campuses.
Do you have Wi-Fi?+
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available for all guests. We also have a community table with charging outlets, a popular spot for students and remote workers.
Food and Drink
Do you have a full food menu?+
We focus on doing a few things exceptionally well. Our menu features espresso drinks, pour-over coffee, bagel sandwiches (the smoked salmon bagel is our signature), locally made pastries, and cookies. We are a cafe first: think quality bites, not a full restaurant menu.
Do you have dairy-free options?+
Yes. We offer dairy-free milk alternatives for all espresso and coffee drinks. Just ask your barista.
Do you serve alcohol?+
We do. Midnight Run is fully licensed with a stocked bar. Cocktails and craft beer are available during evening hours and at all events. For private bookings, we provide full bar service with trained staff.
Can I buy your coffee beans to brew at home?+
Absolutely. We sell bags of our exclusive Midnight Run Coffee. Ask at the counter for current availability.
Events
What kind of events do you host?+
We host songwriter nights, open mics (music and poetry), stand-up comedy shows, DJ sets, silent book clubs, coffee mug painting nights, and more. Our space was acoustically designed for live performance: it is built into the room, not bolted on.
How do I buy tickets for events?+
Ticketed events are available through our website and Ticketscene. Some events are free or pay-what-you-can. Check our events page for upcoming shows and ticket links.
Can I book Midnight Run for a private event?+
Yes. We host private parties, corporate events, celebrations, and public events. We offer flexible packages that include venue rental, full bar service, charcuterie options, and professional PA and stage lighting with technicians. Is the space accessible?+
